Certification Pricing

Understanding the financial considerations of all types of organizations, we've developed a transparent and structured pricing and fee collection policy that supports both the operational needs of the program and the financial planning of our applicants.

Small Business

Up to 100 employees

Medium Business

101-1,000 employees

Large Enterprise

Non-Profit

NPOs will receive a 50% discount from their fee tier.

Fee Collection Process

  • Initial Deposit (20% of Initial Certification Fee): This initial payment is required to kickstart the welcome and self-audit process. Upon receipt, organizations gain access to ACEP's resources for conducting their self-audit and can submit their findings for preliminary feedback from ACEP auditors. This phase is crucial for setting the groundwork for certification, allowing organizations to align their cybersecurity practices with ACEP standards before the formal review.

  • Final Payment (Remaining 80% of Initial Certification Fee): Once the self-audit phase is complete and organizations have received feedback from ACEP auditors, organizations will have 90-days to initiate the virtual audit.  The remaining 80% of the Initial Certification Fee will be collected prior to the commencement of the audit. This fee ensures that all resources are in place for a thorough and effective assessment, leading to certification.

Non-Profit Organization Discount

 

Non-profit organizations are eligible for a 50% discount off the standard rate applicable to their size category, demonstrating ACEP's support for the non-profit sector's cybersecurity initiatives.

 

 

Annual Maintenance Fee

 

A yearly fee, 20% of the Initial Certification Fee (after any applicable discounts), supports ongoing compliance, access to updated resources, and customer support. This fee is due on the anniversary of the certification award and can be paid annually or quarterly for flexibility.

Recertification Fee

 

Every three years, certified organizations are required to undergo recertification to ensure continued compliance with evolving cybersecurity standards:

  • 75% of the Initial Certification Fee (after any applicable discounts) is due to initiate the recertification process, ensuring organizations maintain the highest standards of cybersecurity practices.

 

Additional Services

  • Workshops and Training: $500 - $2,000+, based on the session's length and complexity.

  • Consultation Services: $150 per hour, offering expert guidance tailored to your organization's needs.

Payment Options

​​

  • Payment Plans: Available for all organizations to spread the cost over multiple months.  Payment plans are customized per organization and must be requested.

  • Early Bird Discounts: Discounts available for early application and payment, encouraging timely engagement with the certification process.
